Is it really hard to find a place full of coolness and good vibe? I guess it is not whenever you see yourself caught up in London's atmosphere. Despite of its rain and grey days, there's something about London that really inspires me.
Es realmente difícil encontrar un lugar lleno de buena onda y buena vibra? Supongo que no lo es cuando te encuentras atrapado en la atmósfera de Londres. A pesar de su lluvia y de sus días grises, hay algo sobre Londres que en verdad me inspira.
I had the opportunity to enjoy this multicultural city for about one week and I don't know if it was my luck as a tourist or some crazy phenomenom that gave me just three hours of crystaline pouring rain that were overall banished by very beautiful sunny days and even one unexpected real hot day, in which it was definitely not a good idea to have worn fake leather trousers, not a nice sensation at all, but ok, sometimes fashion requires of some sacrifice, right?
There's so much to see in London, a city where everybody walks very fast and where the underground burns like hell. I'm a huge fan of british accent, so being surrounded of that pretty cool sound was incredibly nice.
Tuve la oportunidad de disfrutar esta ciudad multicultural durante casi una semana y no sé si fue mi suerte de turista o algún loco fenómeno que únicamente me dio tres horas de lluvia cristalina que al final fueron desvanecidas por hermosos días soleados e incluso por un día realmente caluroso y totalmente inesperado, en el cual definitivamente no fue una buena idea haber usado un pantalón de imitación de piel, simplemente no es una sensación muy placentera pero supongo que a veces la moda y tus gustos personales requieren de algunos sacrificios, cierto? Hay mucho que ver en Londres, una ciudad en la que todo mundo camina muy rápido y en la que las instalaciones del metro queman como el infierno. Soy una gran fan del acento británico, así que estar rodeada de ese gran acento fue muy agradable.
Before going to London, while thinking about the city's name, I didn't think about Harry Potter (like many foreign people do) but about The Tudors (besides of thinking about the Big Ben, of course) since that TV show did absolutely mesmerize me, specially with the marvelous, powerful and perfect acting of Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who evoqued so much feeling in every episode.
Antes de ir a Londres, al pensar en el nombre de la ciudad no pensé en Harry Potter (como muchos turistas lo harían), más bien pensé en The Tudors (además de pensar en el Big Ben, por supuesto) ya que ese programa me fascinó, especialmente con la maravillosa, tan poderosa y perfecta actuación de Jonathan Rhys Meyers, quien evocó demasiado sentimiento en cada episodio.
Getting to explore the Tower of London was such a magnificent sensation, it's definitely not a surprise that I always have that feeling whenever I'm in a monument or place full of a very special history. And, I wasn't just amazed by the jewells of the Queen but by the fact that I was standing in the one place that once was Henry VIII's property and where Ana Boleign, as well as Thomas Moro were killed, too much tragedy but too much history.
Poder explorar la Torre de Londres fue un sensación tan magnífica, definitivamente no es ninguna sorpresa que tenga ese sentimiento cada vez que estoy en un monumento o lugar lleno de una historia tan especial. Y, no sólo estuve maravillada viendo las joyas de la reina sino que me maravillé aún más por el hecho de saber que estaba en el sitio que alguna vez fue propiedad de Enrique VIII y en la que Ana Boleign, así como Tomas Moro fueron ejecutados, demasiada tragedia pero demasiada historia.
A place that I truly enjoyed was the Camden Market, where the presence of pretty cool edgy styles are inherent. From colorful to dark shops filled with very interesting stuff and so many diverse people, this place is just surreal. Being inside of the Cyberdog's shop really feels like being in another and really cosmic world, if you've never been there before, you guys just have to go there at least once. Immediately while crossing the door you just get transported to another galaxy where music is so loud and where people wear neon and very interesting outfits without really caring, which is very cool.
Un lugar que realmente disfruté fue el mercado Camden, en donde la presencia de estilos edgy bastante cool son inherentes. Desde tiendas muy coloridas hasta tiendas muy oscuras llenas de cosas muy interesantes y demasiada diversidad de gente, este lugar es increíble. Estar adentro de la tienda Cyberdog realmente se siente como estar en otro y verdaderamente cósmico mundo, si no han estado allí anteriormente, simplemente les recomiendo que vayan por lo menos alguna vez. Inmediatamente al momento de cruzar la puerta te ves transportado a otra galaxia en donde la música es tan fuerte y en donde la gente viste colores neón y atuendos muy interesantes sin importarles lo que digan los demás, lo cual encuentro genial.
I used to like Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen movies when I was little and I still remember a scene where they were at Camden and specially in Cyberdog, which incredibly caught my attention, so at that moment of my childhood I said to myself "I got to go there whenever I go to London!", so it felt really great to finally be there.
Cuando era pequeña, me gustaban mucho las películas de Mary Kate y Ashley Olsen y aún recuerdo una escena en la que las gemelas estaban en Camden y especialmente en Cyberdog, que increíblemente captó mi atención, así que en ese momento de mi niñez me dije a mí misma "cuando sea que vaya a Londres, debo ir a ese lugar!", así que se sintió realmente increíble poder estar allí finalmente.
Of course, while being in London one should not forget to eat some delicious "fish and chips" (the one I ate in Camdem was so tasty) and have a nice walk at Hyde Park and if you're lucky you'll even get to appreciate a little show of Scotish men playing bagpipes, really pleasant.
Por supuesto, al estar en Londres no podemos olvidar comer un delicioso "fish and chips" (el que comí en Camden estuvo muy sabroso) y dar un agradable paseo en Hyde Park y, si eres afortunado, hasta podrías llegar a apreciar un pequeño espectáculo de hombres escoceses tocando la gaita, realmente placentero.
I fell in love with the Tower Bridge (which is next to the Tower of London), I find it really wonderful. I was very glad and relaxed just sitting on a bench next to the Thames river while appreciating the beautiful bridge and enjoying the very nice environment.
Me enamoré del Tower Bridge (el cual se sitúa a un lado de la Torre de Londres), me parece maravilloso. Estuve muy contenta de estar muy relajada sentada en una banca junto al río Támesis mientras apreciaba la belleza del puente y disfrutaba del buen ambiente.
I know, this hoodie makes me look very chubby but it was so comfortable! :)
Shopping is also one the coolest things to do in London because you can find so many things for different tastes and different styles. Seriously, Topshop at Oxford street got to be my favorite shop on earth (so far), it was like being in paradise. That time I went, there were SO many incredible things, I did actually like almost every single garment they had (which is quite impressive to happen), such a great style. I do absolutely adore that place.
Ir de compras es una de las mejores cosas que se pueden hacer en Londres, ya que hay una gran variedad de productos para diferentes gustos y estilos. En verdad, Topshop en la calle Oxford tiene que ser mi tienda favorita en la Tierra (hasta el momento), era como estar en el paraíso. Cuando fui, habían demasiadas cosas increíbles, de hecho me gustaron casi todas las prendas que tenían (lo cual es bastante impresionante que suceda), un estilo realmente fenomenal. Simplemente adoro ese lugar.

And finally, another thing that I really like when I'm traveling is going to Madame Tussauds and taking fun pictures with the characters... and that's exactly what I did.
I am definitely looking forward to go back to this awesome city.
